A little hamlet in the middle of Hunt County was located four miles south of Greenville, Harlow Texas, and directly west of State Highway 34. The Harlow family of Hunt County provided the name for this community, which was most likely founded in the late 1800s. The main source of early economic prosperity in the town was local agriculture, practiced by those who worked the land and supported one another through victories and defeats.
